A little foray into the world of pattern cutting - draft a pattern from one of your favourite, simple tops.
Learn some basic principles of pattern cutting, and draft your first simple pattern.
Session 1 - Drafting onto pattern paper
**Bring a notebook & Pen if you would like to take notes, plus weights to hold your garment in place - can be tins of beans if nothing else!
Session 2 - Finishing your Pattern & Cutting it out
**Bring as for session 1, plus paper scissors, pins & fabric scissors or rotary cutter
Session 3 - Making up
**Bring as above, plus your sewing machine & Matching/Contrasting thread (or overlocker, if you’re copying and making in Jersey).
Choose from 3 x weekday or evening classes, or 1 x Saturday Session - Select from options on Booking Form

Wednesdays - Nov 5th, 19th & 26th 3-5.30pm
Saturday 29th November 10-4.30pm
Tuesdays - Jan 13th, 20th & 27th 5.30-8pm
All tools, equipment & paper to make your pattern will be provided.
***Please only make in Jersey if you have made something in this fabric before, or have come to an overlocker session beforehand.
If you can’t decide which top to copy, by all means bring a couple and we can decide on the day - keeping it simple will mean you will get finished. With the principles under your belt, you may be able to copy something more complicated at home, or at a more advanced session.
