A little foray into the world of pattern cutting
Create a pattern from one of your favourite, simple tops.
Learn some basic principles of pattern cutting, and draft your first pattern.
Session 1 - Drafting onto pattern paper *Bring weights to hold your garment down
Session 2 - Finishing your Pattern & Cutting it out
Session 3 - Making up - Make notes as you go along, to create your step by step pattern instructions to make again at home
January - Tuesdays 13th, 20th & 27th 6-8pm
April - Wednesdays 1st, 7th, 21st 3-5pm
September - Saturday 12th 10-4.30pm

All tools, equipment & paper to make your pattern will be provided. Purchase similar fabric: Woven/stretch to match the top you’re copying -by all means get in touch for help with this.
***Please only make in Jersey/Stretch if you have made something in this fabric before
or you have your own overlocker,
or have come to an overlocker session in preparation.
If you can’t decide which top to copy, by all means bring a couple and we can decide on the day
- keeping it simple will mean you will get finished
With the principles under your belt, you may be able to copy something more complicated at home, or at a more advanced class.
